Deep sea to open ocean — Theis Tekton delivers.
Theis Tekton's deep-sea-proven chemistry protects hulls, superstructures, and critical systems on naval vessels. Salt-impervious, corrosion-resistant, and ballistic-capable when required.
Rapid-cure coatings let vessels return to service faster — corrosion control without extended dry-dock downtime.
From allied surface combatants to support craft — salt-impervious, ballistic-capable chemistry across the fleet.
Commercial shipping and port infrastructure face some of the harshest corrosion environments on earth. Theis Tekton delivers proven protection for cranes, hulls, containers, and port structures.
Theis Maritime harnesses two decades of Theis Tekton™ performance in deep-sea, naval, and commercial marine environments. Our hull protection coatings, rapid underwater repair compounds, and corrosion systems are proven where no other product could survive — from the ocean floor to open ocean operating environments.
The cornerstone of Theis Maritime is our rapid-cure subsea repair polymer — a formulation that cures in 3 to 10 seconds underwater at depth, enabling emergency hull and structural repairs without dry-docking. No other product in the market matches this capability. For navies, commercial fleets, and offshore operators, this changes the economics and operational tempo of marine maintenance entirely.
Tekton-based hull protection coatings providing long-life corrosion resistance, antifouling performance, and impact protection for naval vessels, commercial ships, and offshore structures operating in aggressive marine environments.
Our flagship marine product — a polymer compound that cures in 3 to 10 seconds when applied underwater at depth. Enables emergency hull, structural, and pipeline repairs without dry-docking or surface recovery, saving time and operational cost.
Full suite of marine-grade anti-corrosion coatings for topside, waterline, and below-waterline applications — providing barrier protection against salt, biological attack, and electrochemical corrosion on steel and aluminum marine structures.
Coating and repair systems for subsea pipeline infrastructure — protecting against external corrosion, abrasion, and marine biological fouling in deepwater, shallow water, and tidal zone operating environments.
Tekton repair formulations packaged for remotely operated vehicle application — enabling subsea structural and coating repairs without diver entry, reducing risk and expanding operational depth capability.
Defense-grade specialty coatings for naval vessels including radar-absorbent formulations, thermal barriers, non-skid deck systems, and corrosion protection for weapons systems housings and sensitive naval equipment.
Rust, corrosion, electrolysis, and ionization silently destroy vessels. Algae and marine fouling transferred between vessels contaminates foreign waters. Repainting is costly, time-consuming, and requires pulling the vessel onto land. Theis Tekton eliminates all of it — applied while the vessel is still in the water.

Odorless. Complies with CA EPA and ASMD standards. Applied without spray booth — while the vessel remains in the water. Zero VOC emissions throughout the application process.
Maritime vessels operating in hostile environments faced a critical vulnerability: ammunition breaching fuel tanks, rendering vessels unable to operate, communicate, or reach their destination. Theis Tekton was deployed to solve an unsolvable problem.
The Challenge: Maritime vessels under attack — ammunition would breach fuel tanks, causing catastrophic fuel loss. Without fuel, the vessel couldn't operate, communicate, or arrive at its destination.
The Solution: Theis Tekton was applied to coat the fuel tanks. The system performed so successfully that fuel tanks were regularly incorporated into the maintenance process as a standard protective measure.
The Result: During subsequent operations, ammunition breached the coated tanks — but the tanks immediately self-healed. Fuel was contained. The system remained fully operational. Communication continued. The vessel reached its destination.
Tanks breached — and immediately healed. Fuel contained and available for use. Communication continued. Vessel operational. No mission compromise. A coating system that delivered when it mattered most.
One of America's busiest ports faced a compounding problem: contaminated containment infrastructure, failing adhesion to drainage systems, and no commercially available solution. Theis Industries stepped in and solved it.
Rail lines at the Port of Long Beach use oil spill pans to protect soil and water tables from petroleum contamination. Relatively new fiberglass pans became so saturated with petroleum they could no longer function as effective containment.
When new drain installations went in, contractors discovered they couldn't secure the pan to the drainage system — standard adhesives and sealants refused to bond to the oil-saturated fiberglass surface.
The contamination problem was compounding — pans failing, seals failing, no available solution on the market.
Theis Industries developed a specialized formulation to patch damaged pans and secure pipe to pan — ensuring proper adhesion despite complete oil saturation of the substrate.
No other product on the market could achieve this. The Tekton-based formulation bonded effectively to the contaminated fiberglass surface, restoring the spill containment functionality of the pans and providing a leak-free seal at pipe connections.
Port of LA / Long Beach now uses Theis Industries for many projects across the port complex. A trusted, proven relationship built on solving what others couldn't.
Every Theis Maritime product is engineered with or enhanced by Theis Tekton™ — our proprietary materials system proven for over 20 years in the world's most extreme environments. This gives Theis Maritime a materials advantage that no competitor can replicate. The rapid-cure underwater performance of Tekton chemistry is unmatched — it is the only system in existence that cures reliably in seconds at depth.
